The IAM matrix — also known as the R&R matrix, for roles and responsibilities — stops being an ageing Excel file: it becomes a living, versioned referential applied directly to your SAP systems.

Almost every organization has an R&R matrix: the table that says which mission, function or position gets which roles. And almost everywhere, it lives in Excel — out of sync with the real system within weeks, duplicated into competing versions nobody can arbitrate anymore.
Changes are applied by hand: someone reads the matrix, opens SAP and reproduces what they understood. Every step is an opportunity for a gap — and the next audit always finds it.
What the module does
The Matrix module makes the matrix the central referential: missions as columns, roles as rows, and every change goes through a structured request. The approval workflow enforces requester / approver separation — nobody approves their own requests.
Once approved, the change is applied to SAP automatically — no manual retyping — and every version of the matrix is kept as an immutable snapshot: who changed what, when, why, and what the matrix said on any given date.
